Group Private Medical Insurance

Health and wellbeing is high on the agenda for most organisation with your employees being one of the most valuable assets of the company.
It is in the interest of an organisation to ensure that they look after the healthcare needs of their employees. Healthier works will be more productive and happier. There are many different facets to a successful healthcare policy but a pivotal part should be a group medical insurance scheme.

A group medical insurance policy scheme will provide your employees with the ability to access prompt treatment at a time and location that fits around both personal and work commitments. You will also be able to bypass the NHS delays, receive unrushed treatment at a suitable facility and plan treatment around work commitments, reducing the impact that sickness has on your business. Health Matters will be able to guide you through the benefits of medical insurance and how it works together with helping you understand what each provider offers and how this all fits in the market place.

Health Cash Plans

A health cash plan is a brilliant and affordable way to pay for your everyday health bills such as dental, optical and physiotherapy treatment for your employees.
The cash plan can be organised by your employer or on a voluntary basis via payroll deduction. A cash plan is a great way to attract talent to your organisation and to keep employees motivated.

Dental Insurance

Dental insurance is another policy like health insurance where if you have a problem with your teeth you can make a claim and get treatment, check-ups and scale & polishes paid for. This type of benefit is highly valued to employees and is a great tool for retaining staff.

Group Life Insurance

Death in Service cover is a valued employee benefit providing a ‘tax-free’ lump sum to the loved ones of an employee who has died whilst being employed.
A typical benefit level of a Group Life Insurance scheme is a multiple (frequently 3x) of the employee’s annual salary.

It’s a very simple benefit to provide to staff and is one of the highest valued ‘perks’ that an employee can have and yet its largely inexpensive to provide by the employer.

Group Critical Illness

Group Critical Illness cover enables employers to implement a scheme to provide a tax-free lump sum benefit payment if you’re diagnosed with, or require surgery for, one of the specific illnesses covered by the policy.

There are two types of Critical Illness policies within the current market – a basic ‘Core Illnesses’ policy which covers around 12 major critical illness to that of a ‘Extended Illnesses’ policy which covers 39+ Critical Illnesses.

It’s a very simple benefit to provide to staff and is one of the highest valued ‘perks’ that an employee can have and yet its largely inexpensive to provide by the employer.

Group Income Protection

When an employee is unable to work due to an accident or long-term sickness it places stress on them and you, the employer.
Your employees still need income to meet their household costs and you need the employee at work making the difference.

Group Income Protection cover will pay, a set percentage of your employee’s salary, and assist your employee throughout the process of rehabilitation and ultimately getting them back at work quicker with minimum impact on the business.

Workforce Health and Medicals – Health Awareness Screenings

Some organisations have an annual ‘Health and Wellbeing’ week or few days each year to provide their staff with a quick and easy information on their life-style, which may include a snap-shot of their health at that time.

Part of the Health and Wellbeing day may include a short ‘medical’ with a nurse to record easy to assess health parameters such as diabetes checks, blood-pressure, heart rate, cholesterol percentages, height and weight. Although these health screens are not highly detailed it can focus employee’s attention and encourage your staff to make small, but important, changes to their lifestyle.
The Health assessments need to be conducted within a private room and carried out by an experienced and qualified nurse, which we will supply.
